As artistic director of Emerging Artists Theatre Company, a 14-year-old development and producing company, I would like to see American Theatre pay attention to how theatre spaces are being demolished to make way for luxury apartments. Off and Off-Off Broadway can't continue unless developers realize that New York City is nothing without its theatre.
