SAN ANTONIO, TEX.: Pre-Raphaelite superstar Edward Burne-Jones did it (in his costume and prop designs for an 1895 King Arthur scored by Arthur Sullivan of G & S fame). So did Stephen Sondheim (Into the Woods) and Robert Wilson (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland). These theatre artists wrought stage gold out of fairy tales.
