Your Nov. '06 issue included a few remarks on your editor's note page from David Kornhaber about storytelling, some of which were incomplete or incorrect. Abingdon, Va., the location of the Appalachian Festival of Plays and Playwrights, is not the "self-proclaimed 'storytelling capital of the world.'" That moniker belongs several dozen miles south, in Jones-borough, Tenn., home of the National Storytelling Festival, co-sponsored by the sibling organizations National Storytelling Network and International Storytelling Center.
