I am happy to read in Jason Grote's article "A Beacon for Writers" (Nov. '06) that Wendy Goldberg is doing such great work at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. However, I want to correct certain inaccuracies in the story. I was the first professional sound designer at the O'Neill, brought to the conference in the summer of 2000 by artistic director James Houghton, production manager Nick Schwartz-Hall and lighting designer Jane Cox.
