SHOTA RUSTAVELI NATIONAL THEATRE: The political parody Soldier, Love, Bodyguard and ... the President, by young scribe Lasha Bughadze, has been making waves in Georgia with its pointed satire since it premiered at Rustaveli Theatre in November 2005. The first act follows a soldier who receives heavenly assistance; the second involves the bodyguard of a president--generalized to stand for the leader of almost any nation--who's so gung-ho about his mission he kills pretty much everyone around the head of state.
