In Los Angeles, the LA Stage Alliance spread its Ovation Awards over 20 productions, with Center Theatre Group's The Drowsy Chaperone taking the most overall. The best-musical-in-a-large-theatre winner also snagged accolades for director Casey Nicholaw, set designer David Gallo and actors Sutton Foster and Bob Martin.
