I was so glad that the first item on Gigi Bolt's wish list for American theatres ("Wishing Well," Dec. '06) was that smaller towns and states create theatre that tells their own stories. When the big Equity house in southern New Hampshire closed after 27 seasons in 2002, I founded a new theatre company in order that professional theatre might continue in our community.
However, right about that time TCG stopped offering smaller theatres associate memberships. Since TCG is the major umbrella organization for all nonprofit theatre in the U.S., I would ask your leadership to ...
