NEW YORK CITY AND SAN FRANCISCO: Heat does not seem built into its moniker, but this event promises to steam up the independent theatre scene: The 12-day FRIGID New York festivals, taking place March 7-18 in three venues in Manhattan, professes to give artists everything they're due, especially 100 percent of their own box-office earnings.
