Tesoro Petroleum Corp. has completed the purchase of Valero Energy Corp.'s Golden Eagle refinery and 70 retail locations in Northern California. The 168,000 barrel-per-day refinery is located in the San Francisco Bay area. Tesoro now operates six refineries in the Western United States with a combined capacity of nearly 560,000 b/d.
