Fuel Oil News, July, 2002
Buderus "TBS Isocal" indirect-fired water heaters are said to be the most efficient, economical and durable method of heating water. Boiler water passes through a coil in a specially designed thermoglazed hot-water storage tank. Boiler water temperature of 160 to 180 degrees F maintains the domestic hot water supply, saving money and reducing lime deposits. Also, no flue is used, which reduces off-cycle losses to less than .25 degrees F per hour. A variety of thermoglazed tanks are available for any application.
