SPOT Image Corp.(donates image of California to kids program)(Brief Article)

SPOT Image Corp., Reston, Va., donated a statewide image map of California to GeoCyberCamp, a geography/education program for kids (developed by Geo InSight International Inc.) that combines "space-age" technology with "real-world" interaction, observation and environmental awareness. Also, the U.S.

Army Space Command purchased a statewide satellite image map of Colorado from SPOT Image to augment the First Space Battalion--Army Space Support Team training and 3-0 visualization requirements. The image map is created from SPOT 10-meter-resolution imagery, colorized with Landsat 7 imagery and provided with an elevation model data Layer to facilitate 3-0 simulations.
