Petrobras signed an additional one-year contract for the continued use of RADARSAT-1 data to monitor its offshore facilities (platforms and oil-transporting pipes) for any signs of oil leakage or spill. Also, the U.S. Department of Agriculture signed an additional one-year contract for the supply of LANDSAT data acquired over the agricultural lands of the United States to monitor and assess crop activities. In addition, RSI agreed with IMAGESAT International N.V. to become the exclusive North American distributor of EROS A data, and the Canadian Ice Service awarded RSI another one-year contract for the supply of RADARSAT-1 data for its ice-chart mapping services.
