NASA inks pact, releases ozone hole data.(GOVERNMENTCONNECTION)

NASA and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) signed an agreement to collaborate on research and development projects. The memorandum of understanding allows the DHS Science and Technology division and NASA to apply joint expertise and technologies to improve national and homeland security as well as develop "complex systems" designed to protect the nation.

The agreement provides a mechanism for DHS and NASA to evaluate existing and promising technologies as well as undertake joint research and development, sharing resources and personnel and working with the private sector and other agencies.
