Texas A&M University Professor Emeritus Dr. James Beard and his wife Harriet have established an endowed fund to support graduate students at Michigan State University. With a donation of $100,000 worth of stock, it will be called the "James B. and Harriet Beard Endowed Graduate Fellowship." Beard was a professor at M.S.U. from 1961 to 1975.
