Collano supplies hot-melt adhesives that the company says can contain healing additives, function as antimicrobial barriers, control moisture, provide support or stabilise wounds. Other products include water-based dispersions and thermoplastic adhesive films, and test results for ISO 10993-5/-10 (cytotoxicity, skin irritation and skin sensitisation) are available for most products. The company says it does not use ingredients such as rosin derivatives, terpenes, resins or natural rubber latex. Medical device applications include ECG electrodes, surgical dressings, bandages, prostheses, silicone cushions, medical adhesive tapes and transdermal drug delivery systems.
