Software improves RIT curriculum. (Rochester Institute of Technology).(Brief Article)

Barco Graphics' ArtiosCAD packaging software is beginning to yield a growing class of highly trained packaging professionals from the Packaging Sciences Division at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Last year, Barco Graphics donated the software to the school for streaming electronic die data to its cutter sampletable.

But RIT has used the CAD/CAM system to enhance one of its foundation courses of its Packaging Science curriculum. According to Karen Proctor, chairman of RIT's packaging sciences division, the new software prompted her to redesign Course #341 -- Packaging Computer Applications.
