Chesapeake introduces new tubes.(Brief Article)

Chesapeake Corp., Richmond, Va., introduces a multi-substrate composite tube enabling packaged goods companies to showcase products ranging from premium spirits to confectionery.

Developed by Chesapeake's Field Group subsidiary, the new composite package combines paper, cartonboard and transparent plastic to provide a strong tube with a large printing surface and a clear window for product visibility.

"Our new container offers customers a wide range of marketing possibilities, along with an effective method for differentiating their products," says Mike Ridgway, general sales manager for Field Special Products. "Early discussions with customers indicate that there's a high level of interest across different markets."
