The Planet Cooler[TM], manufactured by Cooler Concepts, Inc., Plymouth, Minn., is now available in several Target stores across the country. The Planet Cooler is a waterproof corrugated container, in either E- or B-flute, that replaces a Styrofoam or plastic ice cooler to keep beverages cold.
Cooler Concepts combines its patented design with a proprietary coating formulation from NuCoat, Inc., Plymouth, Minn. The inside of the box is coated with a waterproof, recyclable and repulpable coating with biodegradeable properties. Folded flat and sold in a shrink-wrapped package, assembly takes less than two minutes, saving space on storage as the cooler takes up less room than its conventional counterparts.
