Enhancing its West Coast graphic services, Sun Chemical recently opened its new graphic design center and flexo plate manufacturing operation in Antioch, Calif. More than 160 people, including 130 customers, attended an open house last week at the new Sun Graphics facility. Servicing customers in California and other Western states, the new center provides package design and flexographic printing plates for corrugated boxes, folding cartons and P-O-P displays.
Four designers based in the Antioch facility use state of the art computer software, such as Backstage, Packedge, and Flexrip to prepare files for the new Barco GigaSetter, a high quality image-setter for extremely large film sizes up to 96.5 by 63.5 inches. Working in collaboration with...
