Specialized Packaging Group (SPG), Hamden, Conn., and Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati, have signed a new three-year contract valued at more than $30 million. The deal awards SPG a large portion of Procter & Gamble's Crest toothpaste folding carton business. "Procter & Gamble is a strategic customer for us," SPG's President and CEO Carlton Highsmith says.
"This represents an important further expansion of our business relationship with P&G. We will leverage our most recent acquisition of the Focus Packaging printing and converting assets in Greensboro, N.C., to supply the Crest cartons to the local P&G Greensboro healthcare manufacturing plant."
