Praxair expands anilox roll services: Charlotte facility upgrades.(Brief Article)

Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., Indianapolis, a subsidiary of Praxair, Inc., upgraded its Charlotte, N.C., facility with the installation of a custom-designed and engineered thermal spray coating system for anilox printing rolls. The new system expands the Charlotte plant's capabilities for processing laser engraved ceramic anilox rolls up to 18-inch diameter by 135-bach face length by 160-inch overall length.
"This upgrade will allow us to improve delivery times and coating consistency to all customers, but particularly for those working with anilox rolls with large length and diameter combinations," Plant Manager Mike McPherron says.
