Scanning barcoded tags on roll stock stacked three high in narrow rows in less than optimal lighting conditions is challenging, to say the least. Over the past few years, computerized inventory systems have greatly simplified tiffs painstaking task through the use of Radio Frequency (RF) scanning devices.
Kiwiplan says it has a breakthrough product, the patent-pending High Scan System, that makes this task even easier. Recently Southern Container sought from Kiwiplan a solution for scanning barcodes on roll stock that is 20 feet off the ground. Kiwiplan's solution provided an adjustable height telescopic pole that features a lightweight scamper at the top and a throttle-type handle with a foam hand grip and a recessed thumb pushbutton to activate the scanner....
