Weyco donates for hurricane relief.($100,000 To Red Cross)(Weyerhaeuser Co.)(Brief Article)

The Weyerhaeuser Co. Foundation donates $100,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Program for victims of recent hurricanes in Alabama and Florida. Weyerhaeuser employees in Alabama and Florida recommended that the Foundation make the donations. The company employs more than 1800 at about 15 area facilities producing linerboard, packaging products, lumber, and engineered wood products.
"The Foundation makes this donation with heartfelt concern for the residents of Alabama and central Florida who lost so much during these horrific disasters," says Elizabeth Crossman, Weyerhaeuser Co. Foundation president. "I also want to acknowledge the efforts of our facilities in Alabama and Florida whose recommendations were instrumental in securing this grant."...
