Kappa Packaging appoints Goldman Sachs to explore strategic options for the paper and packaging group. This could result in one of Europe's largest auctions. The group is valued at about $5.7 billion. Interested strategic parties are expected to include Srora Enso, the Helsinki-based paper and packaging company; International Paper, the U.S.

group; Mondi International, Anglo American's wholly-owned paper and packaging subsidiary; SCA, the Swedish company; and Saica, the privately-owned Spanish paper business.
