Calling the natural gas problem "unnatural," W. Henson Moore, president and ceo of the American Forest & Paper Association, called for immediate Congressional action on high prices during a press conference at last week's AF&PA Paper Week in New York City. "This is a supply and demand problem, plain and simple," he says.

"Since 1990, the increase in domestic demand for natural gas has outpaced the increase in supply by 400 percent. This is a direct result of government policies that encourage the use of natural gas, and additional policies that simultaneously restrict the supply by banning exploration for new domestic sources of natural gas."
