Part 5: The Middle East and North Africa

The Middle East and North Africa -- another exotic locale for us to explore. During my research for this article, I came across so many definitions of this region that my head was spinning. Some sources go as far east as Afghanistan; others as far south into Africa as Djibouti and Somalia; others go north to Turkey To further complicate matters, the definition problem is not restricted to geography; religion and culture also come into play. Some sources refer to the Arab Middle East or the Muslim Middle East.
