B2B, B2C, B2G. This alphabet soup is the latest linguistic shorthand to capture the creative intersection between business, technology, and niche markets. Business-to-business and business-to-consumer e-commerce dominate the Web today with the explosion of online shopping sites, electronic procurement centers, vertical portals, online marketplaces, trading hubs, and online auctions. In April of this year, the Gartner Group projected that online procurement in the business-to-business market will increase from $75 billion in the year 2000 to $3.17 trillion in 2004.
