Readers continue to weigh in on the issue of SEMI's standards process (see "It's Time for Online, On-Time Standards," October 2003, p. 17; and "Letters to the Editor: SEMI Standards Redux," December 2003, p. 26). Our latest response comes from a staff director at JEDEC, a semiconductor standards organization. JEDEC has had a fully operational electronic voting system in place for almost four years--a system that has reduced voting cycle time to 21 days.
