A new National Science Foundation (NSF) grant targets data from sensor networks. According to Christos Cassandras, he and a team of researchers hope to "take the right actions through effective management of the information being gathered." And, he adds, to "squeeze out as much efficient use of power as we can so that the sensors will be cheap to use and will last a long time."
