The Wall Street Journal's 2006 Technology Innovation awards list includes one winner in each of 12 categories: AuthenTec won in the IT Security and Privacy category for its fingerprint sensor technology, AxonX won in the Security (Facilities) category for its security-camera system that detects smoke and fire in large buildings, and Zensys won in the Wireless category for its Z-Wave home-automation offering.
