With The Recording Industry Association of America's (RIM) establishment of a technology division comes the appointment of a well known industry scientist as the division's senior vice president. David Stebbings, formerly of Sony Music Entertainment Inc., joined the RIM in January. During this busy time of start up, Stebbings took time to sit down with Tape/Disc Business to discuss some of his goals and those of RIAA as technology continues its rapid change and industries that have never worked together before continue to get closer to becoming a force of one.
