Let the numbers do the talking

Numbers are the most basic way in which to get a picture of any industry, though as Mark Twain pointed out, they can be misleading. But an overall quantification is viable for audio, and numbers show an industry with more formats than ever, thus a landscape with both more potential pitfalls and potential opportunities than ever before.
