Kdg Organises Piracy Workshop.(Brief Article)

Countering multimedia strategy dominated the agenda of a recent workshop organized by kdg Mediatech. Invited guests included customers, potential buyers and commercial rivals' of kdg's.

kdg's head of technology, Gerhard Papst chaired the panel discussion which addressed: the need to raise awareness of piracy as an illegal act; the fact that CD-Rs have become noticeably more expensive for the end-consumer; IFPI's intention to cut out illegal downloads using RPS, the Internet protection technology; and more severe fines and standardized copyright legislation throughout Europe.
