New High Density Storage Association Created.(Brief Article)

A new association open to companies interested in advancing high-density storage technologies is seeking membership. The High Density Storage Association (HDSA) hopes to attract leaders of key hardware, software and system vendors, as well as resellers and end-user companies in the high-density storage industry.

HDSA describes its charter as complementary to the Optical Storage Trade Association and the Storage Networking Industry Association, and it hopes to work closely with them. Rich Harada, HDSA's executive director, has been in the industry since the early 1980s. He has worked for Sony and Panasonic. In 1997, he started up Creative Businesses, a consulting firm that specializes in storage-related technology and management consulting.
