Sonic Solutions announced the formation of Sonic Studio, LLC, to accelerate development, marketing and sales of its SonicStudio [R] line of professional audio workstations. The new company, formed in partnership with industry veterans Jeff Wilson and Eric Jorde, will be headquartered in Plymouth, MN, with additional offices in Novato, CA. Sonic Solutions will provide engineering, marketing, logistical and manufacturing support.
"As our main business has become increasingly dominated by the extraordinary growth of DVD-Video creation software, we've been concerned that we weren't able to devote appropriate attention to our professional audio products," said Bob Doris, president of Sonic Solutions.
