Cliff Boyd has been promoted to director of manufacturing at Sony Disc Manufacturing (SDM) in Springfield, OR. Boyd reports to Quintin Mikell, vice president and general manager.
Boyd is responsible for operating all manufacturing departments, including mastering, replication, printing and packaging. In addition, he will oversee the quality assurance department and warehouse operations.
Since January 2002, Boyd has been manager, engineering and planning, at SDM Springfield. From 1997 to 2002, he was manager, industrial engineering, and also managed the safety and environmental engineering programs at the Springfield facility. He relocated to Oregon from SDM in Terre Haute, IN, where he was an industrial engineer from 1993 to 1997.
