Launched in January by Community Coffee Co. of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and two weeks later in Britain, the Cafe Maraba Bourbon coffee, farmed by survivors of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, is bringing new hope to the region. Backed by Fairtrade, this specialty coffee is earning smallholders two or three times the price of commercial-grade Arabicas.
