John Colaciello spent the better part of his long and illustrious green coffee career working for Volkart Brothers until his retirement in the late 1980's. He was an active member of the Green Coffee Association, Inc. serving on the board of directors as a director, treasurer, vice president and the association's president as well as serving on many committees. Colaciello continued to stay active in the industry as a certified coffee grader for the New York Board of Trade until his passing. The association bestowed honorary member status on Colaciello for his dedication to the association, his tremendous character and his selfless behavior in acting as a mentor to many industry newcomers. He was considered a true gentleman and will be missed by a great many.
