Paul Higgins had a distinguished career in the Canadian food industry for over 60 years. He was owner and president of Canada's oldest tea & coffee company, Mother Parker's Tea & Coffee Inc.

He received the coveted Golden Pencil Award in 1969, Tea & Coffee's Man of the Year Award in 1991 and the We Care Hall of Fame Humanitarian Award in 1998.

Higgins was a world class equestrian. His career as a show jumper culminated at Madison Square Gardens on his beloved mare Lady Byng when they won the Puissance in the mid 1920s.

He died peacefully surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife, Evelyn, and his five children, Sandra (Hank Mathews), Paddy Ann (Latham Burns), Shelagh (David Wilson), Paul Jr. (Ursula) and Michael (Bruce McCartney). ...
