OCIA International, the Organic Crop Improvement Association, has announced a new initiative to create strategic alliances with organizations that support and promote the welfare of organic farmers, organic agriculture and the organic foods industry. Under the initiative, organizations will be allowed to partner with OCIA to provide organic certification services on a worldwide level. The partner organizations would maintain their own organizational identity and organic certification services would be offered under OCIA'S accredited programs.
"OCIA's strategic alliance initiative gives organizations an opportunity to provide organic certification services to their members without incurring the costs of accreditation," said Jeff See, OCIA executive director....
