Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedTolkins return? (F.Y.I.).(Travel Impressions co-presidents Brad and Jeff Tolkin make bid for Classic Vacation Group,)(Brief Article)
Travel Agent, January, 2002
Look for former Travel Impressions co-presidents Brad and Jeff Tolkin to make a major move on the wholesaler scene, possibly within weeks. The Tolkin brothers, who sold their company to American Express more than three years ago, then departed last year, are entering the homestretch on their noncompete clause with AmEx.
Word on the street is they are courting Classic Vacation Group, whose flagship brand is Classic Custom Vacations. Classic itself is currently a public company, but an offer by Three Cities Research to buy it for 15 cents per share has now been extended until Jan. 18 (see Week in Review, p. 76).
