Things in north Miami Beach are heating up lately. First there was last year's opening of the Ocean Point Resort & Club in Sunny Isles--the first new property to open in that area in 30 years. Later this year, Donald Trump and Dezer Properties will open the Trump International Sonesta Beach Resort in North Miami Beach. The 32-story, 398-room luxury property, to be managed by Sonesta International Hotels, will showcase a two-story waterfall in the lobby; free-form oceanfront pool; watersports; two restaurants and two lounges; a spa and fitness center; retail arcade; business center and 21,000 square feet of meeting space, including an oceanfront ballroom; kids' program; and shuttle service to nearby attractions and shopping.
