The popularity of spa vacations shows no sign of waning. According to the 2002 National Travel Monitor, released by Yesawich, Pepperdine & Brown/Yankelovich Partners, 29 percent of travelers consider going to a spa to be extremely or very desirable when on vacation, and 31 percent consider a spa to be a "very desirable attribute" for a hotel.
