Waterways operators are aware of their products' advantage: They're both practical and relaxing. River cruise and barge passengers do not have to board and disembark motorcoaches every two hours, nor do they have to pack and unpack nightly, moving from one hotel to another. Now these travel specialists are launching their own aquatic version of the Grand Tour, beloved by travelers of bygone eras. Moving at a leisurely pace, the travelers cover Europe from the comfort of their floating hotels. The tours include walking, touring and bicycling, should passengers choose to add more activity to their experience.
