Each year the 24 member resorts of the nonprofit trade association Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) invest millions of dollars in capital improvements in order to maintain their status as some of the best in the industry. Their efforts have paid off: 11 Colorado properties were recently reported to be among the top 30 resorts in the annual Ski magazine readers' survey, and seven were in the top 12.

Over the past decade, more than a billion dollars has been invested in high-speed lifts, on-mountain restaurants, lodging accommodations, children's facilities and upgrades in snowmaking, trails, activities and facilities.
