The 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City have come and gone. By all accounts, they were a resounding success. The International Olympic Committee declared the Games "the most successful in the history of the Olympic Winter Games." Millions of viewers were glued to their TV screens during the 17 days of competition, a time in which Utah was revealed--to many for the first time--as a wonderland of scenic mountain resorts. Today, the effects of the Winter Games endure, as more people choose Utah for their next (or first) ski or snowboard vacation.
