Travel Agent, May, 2003
Carnival Cruise Lines will shift ships around in 2004 to bring more tonnage to Tampa and New Or leans. The 2,124-passenger Carnival Miracle, now under construction, will homeport in Tampa beginning in November 2004, making it the largest Tampa-based cruise ship, Carnival sources say. The Miracle will offer seven-day western Caribbean cruises, taking over a route sailed by the Inspiration.
The Inspiration will shift to four- and five-day cruises to Grand Cayman and Cozumel in October 2004, taking over a route sailed by the Sensation. The 2,052-passenger Sensation will reposition to New Orleans in October 2004 and fill a berth left vacant by the Holiday, which will move to Jacksonville.
