With gay and lesbian pride events springing up all over the nation this month, it is time to take a closer look at this lucrative market. A new gay and lesbian travel survey has just come out that not only looks at the booking trends, habits, interests and demographics of this market, but for the first time, separates gays and lesbians to reveal that within the larger "gay" market, there are some intriguing travel differences.

The 8th Annual Gay & Lesbian Travel Survey--which was conducted by San Francisco-based Community Marketing, Inc. (CMI), a gay and lesbian tourism consulting and communications firm--was conducted online from March 2002 through February 2003 and had close to 1,500 respondents.
