WASHINGTON--The world's airlines are suffering under more financial pressures than at any other time in their history. And, judging from comments made here June 2-3 at the annual International Air Transport Association (IATA) general meeting, the aviation industry will soon see some modifications in the way business will be done. While executives and government officials are offering their own prescriptions, it seems clear that an atmosphere of change is in the air.
