Middle-Ear Implant Approved
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the first implantable middle-ear hearing device, the Symphonix Vibrant Soundbridge, for use in the United States. The device is intended for adults who have a moderate-to-severe sensorineural hearing loss who want an alternative to an acoustic hearing aid.
